2NE1’s solo concert unlikely to happen Empty 2NE1’s solo concert unlikely to happen

About a month ago, we reported about a possible solo concert for 2NE1 due to their popularity ever since debut. While some thought it was a great thing, others were criticizing YG Entertainment for rushing 2NE1 to be the first rookie group to hold a concert so soon. Well, it looks like it isn't going to happen after all!

On the 12th, president of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk, revealed the news through YG's official homepage. He started it off with commenting:

"Lately Park Bom has been full of smiles and joy and it may be because of the great reactions from fans for You and I. When I am punishing and critizing her, she is still full of smiles so it is a really awkward situation."

He then explained about their solo concert:

"Following the unfortunate news about the delay of 2NE1's album, there is one more bad news. The bad news is that 2NE1's solo concert which was planned for December 30th & 31st seems impossible to happen now. This is because we are lacking songs for the concert. It is a very unfortunate situation for YG as well, as we aren't currently in the competition and now even the concert is canceled. But now our priority is to try our hardest to make a great album for 2NE1."

But he did have some good news:

"The one good news for 2NE1 fans is that 2NE1 is preparing a "surprise show" for November 20th. The word explains all as we will not leak any information about their surprise until the very last day."

Not being able to have a concert is very unfortunate, but be excited about their "surprise show!" What could it possibly be? Let your imaginations run wild!
